Glico Oil Pump

A rare Glico brand forecourt oil pump, one of only a handful of survivors.
Had previously been subject to a basic restoration in castrol colours. We stripped the pump fully, finding evidence of the original Glico yellow inside and also under some old dirt hiding in corners which was then used to match the colour. The main components were blasted and painted (many coats of 2k primers and gloss top coat)
The internal pump parts in working condition were cleaned up by hand and repainted in satin black, the brass handles and dispensing nozzle had been polished but were originally plated so were sent off for fresh Nickel plating. The original brass badge on the lower access door was found on an online auction site and reunited with the pump. Completed with painted stripe and decal.
Now part of a small collection an topped with the only known original Glico oil pump globe to finish it off.
