R.A.C. Phone Box

This rare later type 1960's RAC roadside phone box was purchased by us at auction still in its original condition albeit very faded. The fiberglass and plywood construction had suffered a lot of deterioration, particularly stress fractures.
The cracking was ground, drilled and repaired with specialist resin, a very laborious task! The whole box was repainted in coach enamel paint matching the original colours, original stickers were measured and replicated, a new wooden internal floor was made, door hinges and lock fitted and a period telephone to complement the interior.
